TABS

Ok folks, it's time to lay some tabs on you. I haven't done any yet and it may take some time to complete.... but, for those of you who have my cd, what songs, or parts of the songs would you like tabbed out the most?

Let me know.

Dave

There is one song that I wouldnt mind the tab for, should be a fairly easy one as its quite short, I just think it sounded nice. I saw it on the 'Live at Astoria' DVD and it was called 'Daves Party Piece'.

I think my personal favorite would be Long Run if you can post that one. I transcribed most of it a while back in standard notation when I first got the album but I can't seem to find what I've done with it. But tabs is a killer idea!

Hey Dave,

TGoDs, chord sequence 44 seconds in, I dont seem to be able to work it out! Im sure everyone will be happy with any TABs you provide.
Most of it is relatively easy to work out but its the positions that are normally wrong (with me anyway). I learnt the party piece from a tab on mysongbook.com only to find that when I watched you on the astoria dvd, the finger positions are different which is kinda annoying. Some of the tab is wrong aswell.

Dont make us wait too long!!!

Well.. I think the Party Piece will be the first tab. The problem is that I play it differently almost every night. But I'll try to get it close to what I did on the dvd. I should have something up next week sometime.

I'll take a listen to what you guys have suggested, part wise.. and should be able to tab that stuff out fairly easily.

Count me in on the tab for your party piece... it runs round your head all the time. I've only got the delay on my Line 6 to try it and it ain't working out yet.

This is the power of reading what people say on the forum. I just had to buy the CD from your website. Hope it doesn't take too long to get to me in England. I saw you guys at Nottingham and had a meet and greet pass, that was the night Steve had Larangitis (is that how you spell it?) and couldn't come out and meet everyone.. bummer. It was good to meet you and Satch though, I'll come and see you if you tour alone.

Hi Taras.

Well thank Russia for their patience for me. I'm doing site upgrades and since I suck at web designing, it takes me a while. After I get that sorted out, the Tabs will start.

Oh that's funny. Dave, when I saw the Live At Astoria DVD, I thought about how cool it would be to be up there and playing along with the musicians in the band. I must say that after watching the special features on the dvd and getting a glimpse at how you do stuff - I'M SO JEALOUS AND IT'S NOT FAIR!

Nice work Sir!

Hi Little Wing.

Yes I do my own site, but it takes me a long time to get it done. I just put up the "Media" page which will have info about my music, some photos and eventually video.

Dave.

How you getting on with that TAB for yout Party Piece? Has anyone else got it down yet? I found a video on the net somewhere of this guy playing it on a white Jem. Had a really cheesy back drop and a pretty cheap drum machine but he had it down pretty good. Can't remember what he was called but he looked a bit like one of the village people

Hey Adam.

I haven't started the tabs yet. I've been getting the rest of the site up to speed first. Soon, I promise!
