The boss playing the hardtail.

Going through my pics from the tour, I found these. Steve playing my hardtail:

I remember this was during soundcheck in San Diego. Steve wanted to write a new song based on the 7 string.

Thought I'd share.

My question is what does Steve think of the more strat like design you have going with that hardtail? Ive never really had the chance to use a good seven string with a single coil in the neck position. My pos just has the three way switch. I guess I could put a coil tap in but I hate the pickups anyways.

Re: The boss playing the hardtail.

As a prior owner of a 7620 wired with a three way and a coil tap (AN/TZ7's, too)... a neck single coil sounds PHENOMINAL on that low B. Hell, across the entire fretboard, but I got my start on a strat, so I've always liked that sound.

Good to see Steve with a 7 again, he's really moved away from them in the wake of Korn...

Dave, just make Steve bring us back the old 7 string times.
I miss that.
Thanx for sharing, man!

Re: The boss playing the hardtail.

Hopefully Vai writes a song or two for the 7 string and they release a RI UVMC for the 20th ann.
