Very cool stuff.
A break from all the "shred" stuff is always good once in a while. Its nice to have something "easier" to listen to.

Your bassist does look like a giant in that pic though! lol

Re: Tour Diary Responses- Vai: Real Illusions 2005 - Europe

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Oh, to answer Demon's question, yes, I do play a Jem, just not live anymore. I love the guitar. It's like my first-born. But it's sentimental value exceeds any want I could have to play it live. I'm terrified that something will happen to it. (It's also signed by Vai, so I'm sure there would be a couple people who would see it as an easy target...) I do play the hell out of it at home, though. She'd never just sit in her case. No guitar should have to go through that.

Hmmm, to be fair to Dave and his intentions for this particular thread, I'm thinking I'll start up a new post regarding this topic, and leave this particular one for talk about the tour.
Started a new "Shameless self-promotion" thread over in Players, People, Music, and Tours. Looks like a more appropriate place.

I've got the JEM777DY (Desert Sun Yellow with Pyramid Inlays). My father (always supporting my addiction, haha!) bought it for me as a birthday present when I turned 10. Hell of a birthday that year, lemme tell ya!

For the Irish gig you all need to come out dressed as Leprechauns.

You guys come out to a fiddle player playing a jig, and dance Riverdance style onto the stage.

You'll be heros.

Come on Dave, you know you want to.

I think the clothing topic is burnt. I'm keeping things simple wearing jeans and t-shirts.

Hey Dave,
Don't forget Boston on your solo tour. I will be taking a whole bunch of people to your show.
I'll be heading to Dublin for your show on the 26th of October. I have the EVO package, so I hope to finally meet you.
Take Care,
Christin

Dave, your tour manager dude looks frighteningly similar to my buddy Kashif. I had a to do a double-take on that picture....
