Hey Dave,
GREAT show in Newcastle City Hall, I really enjoyed it and your solo was amazing too. I also love your fashion sense when you first came on stage (great shirt) so props to you! hehe, Fantastic show as stated, and I dribbled when you brought your guitars out. I thought you could have been slightly louder but you still rocked! Plus your CD is brill (been listening to it ever since i've gotten it which was a few months ago), and hope you come back to Newcastle again, and if you are doing your own tour please stop by!!! Keep up the good work -
Regards
Simon

Jeremy Colson and "singer" Ryan Cabrera
Hi Dave, hi everyone in here!! yeah, I would be totally upset if people keeps confusing me with an "evil creation" of Dr. Joe Simpsonstein... that guy Cabrera is not only a mix of pure marketing ingredients, he stole (yeah, not a single neuron in his work)
Nuno Bettencourt
the ballad "more than words"... c'mon!!! what did you expect from that people??? so, pleez tell to Jeremy he has all our respect for being the great musician he is..... unlike the simpson gang.

Give's your opinion on the show and what you think of Little 'Ol Ireland?

I was at the Vicar St gig too Dave, great gig. Your solo ruled. We waited around afterwords to try to meet the band, and sadly you were the only one we didn't get to meet. BTW, if Steve shows you those sheets I gave him with the printouts of my Jem designs, mention to him I'm on this place.

Hey Tom.
Sorry I didn't make it out after the gig. I did come out eventually, but I had a few friends inside that I was hanging out with. I did come out but not until about 2 am.
We'll have to catch up next time.
Take care.

Thats cool, just don't put off coming back! By the way, you were really on fire in Vicar Street, you really rocked. I came to see one virtuoso, but instead I saw a band of virtuosi. The acoustic section of your solo blew me away.

I just finished watching the G3 Tokyo DVD. That chrome-ified bass that Billy is playing is GORGEOUS!
I love watching the band play. Everyone looks like they are having the time of their lives, and that's how it should be. Kudos!
P.S. Dave, my friend and I just got a huge kick out of your photo of the Guiness factory. Probably a bigger kick than we should have...

Hey Dave,
Good for you that you found some time to visit Paris. Really love that city (been there several times too, I live in Holland,)! This tour must be quite exhausting for you guys so I can imagine that every free hour is very welcome. And wasn't the weather fabulous today, for the time of the year!
There are some more splendid cities to come, btw.....
Cheers, Henk.

Re: Tour Diary Responses- Vai: Real Illusions 2005 - Europe
Well... I'm glad Steve "commanded" the sound guys to get your acoustic to work. You were strumming it for a few seconds, and as it didn't "sing", you went directly to the second part of your solo (on the electric). But Steve said : "No, no, no! Get that acoustic to work, 'cause what Dave plays on it is just beautiful!"
Bottom line : since you played that (very beautiful, Steve was so right!) tune, you ended up throwing this pick I got. On the pick it said "daveweiner.com" and here I am!
The show at the Aula Magna (Lisbon) was two days ago, and I still don't believe I had you guys right in front of me, filling my mind up with that music. Besides that, your professionalism is absolutely incredible! Just tell me : how can you make every single show seem unique, playing 60 (or so) gig's in 70 days??? I have such a tremendous respect for your human capabilities!
Thank you, Dave, and that's extended to the whole band AND CREW!
I hope it doesn't take another 5 long years for you to be back to my country!
Cheers, Guilha

Re: Tour Diary Responses- Vai: Real Illusions 2005 - Europe
Hi Dave!!
I've been at the Lisbon show, and it rocked!!!
I liked your blue guitar very much, and the acoustic it great, too!!
That moment when your acoustic wasn't plugged in, and Vai came out and reacted like that, it was awesome! It must be a privilege to work with someone like him!
I got to hang out with you and the rest of the band, including Mr. Vai, next to the tour bus, and it was very cool. You are a very cool guy, I just wanted to let you know.
I liked you solo album very much! If you have the time, please check my site, listen to something if you can, and let me know what you think :

I hope you guys have a good time in the rest of the tour, and I hope you can come back to Portugal very soon!!
