What's up?

To answer your question... for me, it's mostly educational. Steve, to me, is the quintessential musician. He takes care of his fans, he pays attention to the slightest detail and he knows his business and every aspect of it for the most part. I've tried to absorb that ethic as well.

Aside from that, it's crazy fun to play for a ton of people and travel the world to just play my guitar.

Yup. We're heading to South America in Nov for a G3 tour and then I believe we'll be doing a bunch of touring in support of Steve's new cd in '05. Hope to see you there.

I can't promise anything since I don't book the tours, but I believe Europe was on the schedule for 05. Hopefully!

Great to hear that you´ll be touring with Steve next year!

But I just wonder... when are we going to see a Dave Weiner solo tour???? It would be interesting to see you play YOUR material with your band.

I hope you´ll get to do that soon... (I hope sooner than the actual release of John Petrucci´s Suspended Animation cd) (sorry about JP´s sarcasm.. but hell years and years pass and no sign of that album)

My band and I are rehearsing my cd right now and hope to do a few local shows early 05. Hopefulyy that will go well and we can expand our touring.

Yeah, I'll get a clip of rehearsals in thenext few weeks.

The guys I'm playing with right now are Chris Maute (bass) and Mike Kernikey (drums). They are sick players.

My music really calls for at least a 5 piece band, but I have to keep it at a 3 piece until the big $$ offers come in. So, to play the cd, we will be playing to Protools. Obviously the drums, bass and my lead lines will not be part of the backing tracks, just the extraneous harmonies, synths and percussion.

I'll definitely let you know when and where the shows happen (likely early 05).
