Why have anybody else than EJ. He was in the original and in my oppinion was the best guitarist in any of them. 10th anniversary. If EJ's in that it will be sweet.

Definitely, its only fitting that EJ makes a return to the 10 year anniversary. Or the other idea was to get everyone who has ever been on a G3 before to go on a massive one lol.

Is there anyway we could force things and have
EDDIE VAN HALEN
join the G3 tour?
How can we reach the people who are organizing the event?
Please let me know...

Eric Johnson
would be a good choice, he has a very different style to what Petrucci or Malmsteem play, really melodic, beautidul, soul touching tone.... great player, to include him again would be great!!!

one problem, becker can't even pick up a guitar anymore, sadly.
anyways, what about Greg Howe. the man is in some serious need of the recognition he deserves. one of the best around and more than half the guitar community confuses the name with
steve howe
of Yes.

Petrucci was much better, and a lot more interesting.

Dweezil? No thanks. I think it would be totally cool if Eddie was on the tour. I am pretty sure he can play Eruption with his beer bottle now.

Re: Who would be a really cool 3rd G on the G3 Tour?
i think richie kotzen would be an outstanding choice for a third "G".
i just recently checked him out again after many years and was VERY impressed with his last 2 studio albums - change, get up.
his singing and songwriting have improved IMMENSELY.
would also love to see any of the following: guthrie govan, steve morse, scott henderson,
allan holdsworth
, gary moore, dave meniketti, jeff beck, carlos rios, john scofield, frank gambale, pat metheny, george benson, mike stern,
john mclaughlin
, paco delucia, larry carlton, robben ford.
oops, i guess i just named all my fav players. oh well.

Funny, because I just recently started getting back into JP's Rock Discipline which I put aside when I got EJ's Total
Electric Guitar
video, and now Im enjoying it. Petrucci is definately good but to me, in my opinion, isn't as interesting as EJ.
On Rock Discipline, he's so fast it's absurd and he's very good. But when it shows clips of him playing, he's just soloing and soloing over and over and to me, it's isnt as interesting as EJ's playing where EJ plays alot of rhythm as well as leads and has overtone of different tones. To each his own. I love Petrucci but I'd have to go with EJ overall. That's just me.
