Well, what a night! Started great, with the outragous eric sardinas- he was a nutter, and i just loved the hilbillian spaghetti western type vibe of his image and music!
Then you guys came on! AWESOME! sound was brilliant i thought. I was amazed at freak show excess, and for me that was the best track of the night. As usual, probably around a 1/3 of the way through, the lights went out, and out pops Dave with his new tunes (the party piece a few years ago was awesome man, i just kept playing the main over and over again with the delay bouncing back

). And as usual it was bloody great! Done on a rather nice sunburst acoustic too!
I know you'd been having problems with the sound recently on tour dave? From your point of view on the stage you were left channel and tony was right yeh? I was at towards the back on the left, and was pretty sure i could hear more Mcalpine, but i guess its all about where you sit. Where was the guitar swing tho Dave i was hoping you were going to exact it, but it never happend

btw, on a side note.. Do you reckon if you do it a few too many times or are not totally confident at the time, the straplocks could come off the guitar, or the screws completly come out of the wood? I know the straps are designed to take huge pressure tho. Also, have you ever messed a guitar swing up in public leading to any damage?

.
So, back to the show. I thought the lighting was absolutly amazing throughout, with some great mixes of colours. Incredible- kudos to the lighting dude, cant remember his name- jim or something?
Towards the end, something insane happend. I'd never vouched for billy sheean to be a guitar shredder! He and tony swapped instruments, and he began to rip it up on his carvin!!! INsane!
Whispering a prayer was devoted to a family with somebody very ill in. I thought that was a great gesture and the song certainly goes with that. I dont know if you can tell us more Dave- was it in Steve's family? Hopefully not in yours

.
The night closed with 3 encores, last of which was FTLOG, which went down awesomely. I was really hoping for Juice and Erotic nightmares, but i guess from the band point of view you guys are sick of playing them
I'd love to hear some more of the drummer Jeremy colson. Is there any way he can be heard at all or got hold of on the net dave? His Blast beats were some of the best ever, and that crazy drumstick thing he did with steves acoustic and the stick throwing were immense!
Up the Weener!
Great show, and take care
Kev
(well worth the 200 mile drive!)
