Your Impact As A Musician

Hey Dave!

Im a huge fan of yours and the rest of the breed. I recently met Steve on the 25th in connecticut in the Evo experience, and realized in meeting him how much of an impact you guys really have on people.. I was sitting front row center and really got a taste of how great friends you all are and how much fun you guys really have performing, and Im sure you have all heard this a million times but in performing the music, you really bring so many emotions to us fans. The music steve writes really can change peoples lives and have an impact on them forever. When steve even so much as makes eye contact with you when hes playing, its amazing. You are all inspirations to us as musicians and human beings and you are all really blessed to be able to do what you do.

I know you are so busy and probably exhausted from all the touring and such, but if you could so much as show steve this message, and let him know how much he and his music has changed my life. There are so many people in the world that are prima donnas, and real jerks, but steve, and the rest of you guys are so genuine and down to earth, and so few people that can convey such emotions in their music like steve.

Sorry for the long essay but I really have to thank you, the breed, and most of all steve for doing what he does. I wish I could thank him properly, but in the EVO experience he couldnt have said it better "there are no words"

God bless bro and keep shreddin!

(here are some sweet pics i took on the 25th)

Wow, those are awesome pictures! Ahh, im so jealous. I really wish i would have gotten some evo experience tickets and would of goten to have my jem signed. Congrats on meeting Vai. I can't wait for the show here in the Fiztgerald theater. Im obsessed with steve vai, and alls i do is watch his videos on my comp everyday and then play my jem for hours from the inspiration.

Rock on!

WOW, GREAT pics man! Brings the concert into the forefront of my mind again!

Holding EVO! OMG...You lucky lucky lucky guy....did I mention lucky?

Once again evidence that it was a stupid mistake not shelling out (and taking the consequences from the wife) the bucks for the EVO package. My studio wall has an forhead indentation....time to deepen it a little more.

Yeah, Billie has a mirrored bass It was pretty cool to see, especially if you weren't expecting it. It seemed to have mirrored inlays in the fretboard, too, or maybe the whole fretboard just reflects a lot of light. That much I couldn't distinguish from my seats.

Billy was pretty much arm's length away when we saw them play in Jax. It looked like the guitar had a completely mirrored fretboard, with some sort of prismatic or opalescent panels that covered the fretboard in the 3,5,7,9... marker positions.

I don't remember very clearly, I'd had a lot of beer that night... I was too busy enjoying the show.

Re: Your Impact As A Musician

Nice pictures 'Parker Fly' !!!

That's a great picture of you with EVO too. Definitely a keeper man. I'm glad you seem to have had a great night.

I have to agree with the 'Hat' comments! That's a BAD hat, shocking taste.

The 'mirror bass' Billy has is another one done by Martin Sims (he of the original 'Mirror Bad Horsie' creation). Here's a couple of closer pics for anyone who wants a better look.

And a shot of the original three of Steve's necks that Sims did for him ('Bad Horsie neck on the left') for all the LED fans, lol.

Re: Your Impact As A Musician

I met Martin Sims last year, nice guy does some great work. That bass must be as heavy as a truck!

Wow, dude I cant believe your not grinning like a fool! Man if I was holding Evo I'd of broke my jaw smiling so much! Some great pics though, nice one! Totally agree with your comments too, its really summarises why Dave and Steve do what they do. Its not about playing fast, its about making the fans feel good about themselves and life.. I think.

Dont agree with Vai's hat though, and I'm usually up for crazy clothes. Dont agree with Billy's leather's either, lol.
