Re: 2005 NAMM Report
the giger stuff looked pretty damn cool, that's for sure.
RGAs were thinner than RGs .. now if they'd do that form factor with an edge ... that'd be cool.
edge III felt like a cheaper, not-as-well-balanced-but-better-balanced-than-edgeproII, and stiffer original edge (which i think is the absolute pinnacle of flating bridges). i was a bit surprised at how far it was pulling up, but that's a good thing, hehe.
js2 ... ehh - very consistent finish, but .. chrome was more impressive.
i have some pics, i shall process and post them in a bit

Re: 2005 NAMM Report
Yes, not great ones, they weren't exactly easy to take pics of. I'll get them up later today but they are online

The guitar faces were painted in either a silver pearl or a simul chrome and then the designs were on clear mylar. It was well understood they were just proto's and not what the finished product would be. [the mylar was peeling off the IC already]
And before anybody says anything else about prices, here's what a cool $40,000 can buy you. Limited to 40 of course.

Re: 2005 NAMM Report
Well, if you were a PRS fan, you'd be bitching and moaning about the decision to price them at $40k, and the absurdity of limiting them to 40. That doesn't sound familiar to anybody does it?

go have a smoke
"ibanez" couldn't even build such an axe, and if they did it would cost $50k have a locking trem and not stay in tune anyways

Re: 2005 NAMM Report
I'm a JS fan, but I'm not bitching about it
I do think the price is a bit overboard and that they could do a bigger run, but I won't buy it anyway, so I don't really care

Re: 2005 NAMM Report
Even IF I were to spend forty grand on a guitar, I'd be to afraid to take it anywhere! Always did like the Dragons, though.

SWEET SWEET Double Dragon!!! The price is what one should except from a PRS limited run Dragon guitar.
