I would have rather seen no inlays than have the cheesy dots on there.

I still think this is crazy...2500$+ for and RG witha fancy pickguard?

It looks cool, no doubt, but shouldnt be more then 1300-1500$...

Re: Chrome-looking JEM PHOTO - Vai Dimarzio Ad

It's an old add, but have a look at Vai's updated site:

www.vai.com

He's holding a pretty new one.... and no Sustainer, so it's not the one he uses for "Bad Horsey"

I'm getting antsy to get to NAMM....

I also think that this guitar has little to no chance of selling well unless it carries with it some undisclosed features like a better neck profile, better pickups, etc. Otherwise, it's just a RG with a big big big pickguard on it.

But that's what the JEMs have always been...

Maybe it's got the same Neck profile as the 7DBK which people seem to like...

Re: Chrome-looking JEM PHOTO - Vai Dimarzio Ad

why would Steve Vai reveal a brand new JEM in a Di Marzio ad???? don't u all think he'd wait and have a proper unveiling ceremony somewhere..say NAMM? or on MTV for maximum sales potential?
