Only stating the facts mate. Lefty Rob obviously didnt read the auction, which I actually pointed out to him that it says it doesnt contain his blood.
My comments arent assumption at all. If you are selling something, you cant make a false statement regarding that item, and clearly you havent and its pointed out clearly what the story is with the guitar.

OK, misleading was too strong of a word, I'd say more like confusing with the quote that Steve made, and that it doesnt say anything about no blood in it on vai.com.

One other thing that strikes me a bit odd is that you'd think for $20k+, shipping would be free in the US...and I take it theres no case either..

Go read the auction text again.

Regarding your comments about shipping, sending a guitar like this via a shipping method like FedEx is expensive, and it's up to the buyer to pay for it. Most serious buyers are discussing picking up the guitar in person anyway.

I'm not really sure what the purpose of your comments are beyond that other than nitpicking.

Yes yes, I know now that its in the auction, when I first saw the auction I read the first 2 lines then realized it was the same info from the news page on Vai.com, so I stopped reading it.

There is nothing misleading on the auction for anyone prepared to read it or anyone who has an adequate grasp of English.

If you dont like the idea of having to pay shipping on the guitar then dont bid on the item!
This thread was originally in the classifieds but was moved to the news section so some discussion is allowed.

Remember that this guitar is being auctioned to benefit Steve's sick friend. Since it is a charitable auction perhaps you could also be a bit more charitable and be less negative towards the auction.

Please post carefully in this thread and inappropriate posts will be deleted.

Nice to see genuine Vai items for sale,but why do those cheeky Chinese twats have to duplicate the same item for sale not only once but twice,and still have the nerve to put that Green Multi Colour up for sale again.What a nerve,they really cheese me off at the best of times,but when GOD himself puts an item up for sale you just dont mess with him.
MM,tell him up stairs to put EVO or the Green Meanie up for sale to see some mega money.
Its fantastic to see very high quality items for sale.

I think any charity auctions must first be cleared with evilbay. Don't know whether they did or not.

Evilbay makes satan look like a girl scout. They do nothing about sellers selling counterfeit merchandise (because they still get paid on it - I filed a complaint on a counterfeit item once and they did absolutely nothing) but pull legitimate auctions because they "violated evilbay policy". Yet counterfeit items violate evilbay policy too but they do noting about them. Selective enforcement at it's finest.
