So your goal is to make people look bad...? Interesting. Let me know how that all works out for you.

Re: Js2prm

Strike that, I'd have to say quality overall was better in 02'. I'm doing allot more fretend work than I used to, and of course thy bridge radiusing is just a pain as well as the intonating. Even though hardware is more a supplier issue it's still an overall quality issue. Overall quality is still excellent, but is on a slight decline, so I can't honestly say quality has never been better, it has.

Re: Js2prm

whatever... it's a moot point the quality.

the point is you can unplug the forum notifiers and/or stop shooting the messengers. if do neither then it's self-inflicted, hence your lashing out.

from a business point of view, i'm telling you it is childish to debate with people (and in front of lurkers) who might be customers oneday over sentence structure, but you seem unwilling to take appropriate steps to avoid that... glen

Evidently you've forgotten my cardinal rule. I will be myself no matter who is looking, lurking, reading, or kicking in my door. I will not put on a fake face for anybody, and anybody that expects that can kiss my you know what.

I agree with Rich. I think its really stupid that Ibanez/gotoh has not made an intonation tool for the EP. Even though the saddles are intonated better off the jig on the new EP, what about a few years down the road when the saddles move? Not using locking studs and then increasing the price of the guitar sucks. Even though the non-locking studs can be solved by a minor modification. If Ibanez would just make a FEW, just a FEW slight improvments it would make the majority of Ibanez customers happier.

Only thing I can think of that Ibanez should improve on is (and this info is gathered mainly from Ibanezrules.com),

1. Intonation tool for the EP
2. Fixing the saddles on the EP so that the radius doesnt change (I forget what the correct name for them are, im guessing the saddle inserts are pressed in and, according to rich they can cause the overall radius of the bridge/strings to be wacked out)
3. The locking studs
4. A chrome Ibanez logo on the headstock of all JS1200's. not gold.

whatever.... by your definition "being yourself" seemingly precludes introspection... because this is "who i am" and if i change "who i am" then i am "not who i am"

sounds like more work than setting up a new ibz

Re: Js2prm

I think they put themselves in the paddleless cannoe with the EP. I've looked at it and scratched my head for hours and I can't come up with a logical way to make an intonation tool.

The saddles themselves have been much better. The baseplates are off for 430mm radius boards, they need to be fully radiused, also accounting for any pressed insert trouble that also needs addressing.

Maybe they figured most customers play with it out of tune thanks to the non-locking studs, so intonating is a moot point ???
