Either Arlington Virginia doesn't have that many beasts roaming about or I've just been too personally desensitized.

Richs colorful description is soooo accurate.

Re: Js2prm

Is there bare wood on the head stock on the JS2 by the string retainer bar? If there is.... that is just tasteless. Thats the crap that irritates me. If I went to NAMM I'd BEG, i'd drop to my knees and BEG to the reps to go back to the Original Edges. All JS-series should get Original Edges. This stuff makes me feel like someone stuck a thermometer into my pee pee hole and smacked it with a sledgehammer.

No, silver painted, just like a 2KPLT and overlaid the same way, just mirrored. I hate it too, but....

They can use the Ep's all they want on the JS's, the factory shimmed saddles match the 250 radius extremely well. I've got no problem with the EP when it's no more work than any other

I see. Also, you know what bugs me about the edge pro aside from the obvious?? Its the stupid Ibanez name on the center of the rear of the trem, between the fine tuners and the saddles. I hate the way Ibanez is spelled. It looks cheap. That craaaap should say EDGE PRO, or something.... and make the font aggressive looking. I know, im picky. Sue me.

Jemmm, I love a parade =)

Seeing how Ibanez has pissed on their cookies, I think I will have to do a tut for making Chromeboys DIY.

Re: Js2prm

it appears again that Ibanez are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

what exactly DO people want?

not an opinion, just a question.

Re: Js2prm

Ive bashed Ibanez a few times, particularly about their 1995/2004 line ups.... and later for their pricing. There have been a lot of exceptions, because they released some pretty cool models on those years.

But, I have to admit that the 2005 line up is pretty strong, with a lot of interesting models.

It seems that some people started bashing Ibanez with some good reasons, and now its hard for them to have an objective opinion.

IMHO This year line up is great, although the pricing sucks. The new JS2 looks very good, and they could ve sold 200 guitars with no problems. I would ve prefered to see them retailing for 3000-3500 with a total output of 1000-1200, and they would ve still sold out.

The call to make 60 of them is just stupid. The pricing on most of the MIJ guitars is a off, and the price of the new jem is an abuse to their customers (just as the 7VWH is). BUT, they maked the models everybody wanted, and they delivered some of the better designs in years.

Rich is in a hard position since he makes a living from selling these guitars, so sometimes he appears defending or justifying a certain pricing that seems a little off for other people, or confrotating with some other people that ask for more variety in the signature line up. Its stupid to think or ask that he will start to bash the 7VWH or the BRM because of their pricing because his job is to sell them. Nonetheless, he has an objective opinion about some quality issues, and he is a great source of information.

Showing no respect for Rich or for Glen (or any other member), is a mistake IMHO.

Re: Js2prm

Is the BRM priced too high? Probably. Is the VWH? Probably. Will they still sell? Probably.

Is the JS2 priced too high? I don't think so if you know what's going on in the secondary markets. Is it too limited? Definately, but, it may be as much a factor of their suppliers ability to produce the bodies/finish as any intention to limit availability. We don't know the answers, and the Co. gets enough uninformed crap thrown at them as it is. Personally I'd much rather see them make 60 right than 500 wrong [cough**JS10th**cough]

Re: Js2prm

Anyone collect toys or have? Back in the 90's Playmates made a Star Trek figure of J.L Picard only 1701 made. The back lash was awsome. Some People who did find them ripped them up and mailed them back in little bits. Now Ibanez should just send the 60 JS2's to ramdom shops like a chase guitar for the same price as ah JS1000. That would be cool and keep people from hording them.

I think Ibanez should give all Ibanez owners a free JS2 for being customers After all, with them you have no company.

My 'goal',as i said in the rest of the post which you took a small part of and qouted out of context,is to further my knowledge and enjoyment of guitars which I thought was the general idea of this site.I definitely didn't say that my intention was to make anyone look bad because it isn't.I'm just fed-up of needing to defend my use (or miss-use) of punctuation, especially when the only person who was making any comments or nit-picking,as was agreed and pointed out by others,is no grammatic God himself. It just comes across as an ignorant, childish and totally pointless practice that achieves nothing other than making the perpetrator look like the sad bully that he obviously is.I've had some great advice and information from every single other Jemsite member that I've spoken to and have also answered other peoples questions when I was able to.That is all I want to do here and I don't see why ONE person with a bunch of personal issues,a MASSIVE Ego,a Superiority complex,a very low intellect and the worst attitude ever should stop me from doing that. And just for the record,he WONT stop me posting anytime I wish to.
Thanks to the decent and helpful members of the Jemsite just for being here for the right reasons and not just to further their self-admittedly failing excuse for a business. At least I know where to send anyone who's looking for an over-priced Ibanez.
I have said what I wanted to say regarding this matter and apaologise to the other decent Jemsite members for this post.It is not anything I would normally post and I won't again.Be assured that every post in the future will be like my normal ones, concerning mine and your love of the guitar and nothing else.If 'baited' again I promise I will ignore it so that none of us has to go through all of this pointless performance that has nothing to do with the reason that most of us are here for.
All the Best and Fondest Regards to my fellow Jemsite members!..JTM45!

What a ******. My massive ego? My superiority complex? My low intelect?! Funny, but I sure know where to put a space, obviously something you missed by dropping out in 3rd grade. What a waste...... And just in case you missed it again, I wasn't the only one it annoys.
