Re: Js2prm

Translation, to the best of me.
{Cool "arsehole" Rich, you are cool, an elite (leet l33t 1337).

Worship Ibanez!}

Rich, when you press the button and post ignored, that's the moment when you revealed that you couldn't ignore it.

On a serious note, are there any COA or other goodies with this JS? The stuff that resellers keep for themselves.

Re: Js2prm

It should have a COA, but if I were to buy one of those, I couldn't care less. I loose paper very easily What they should do, is go the Fender route and inlay the artist's signature on the headstock, even if it's on the back...that would be cool....

*oops, reply was to The Euphor*

Jeez, it seems that there are alot of anti-Rich people on this board. Rich is a cool dude and has a plethora of knowledge about guitars. I've bought a guitar from Rich and annoyed the piss outta him with the thousands of emails sent to him, he has been nothing but helpful. Why all this animosity toward him?

It's real easy to ignore them. Glen taught me that. The irony is, it's easy to ignore him now too

Funny, you think it's overpriced, but you don't have any trouble coming up with an idea that would give Ibanez a reason to charge more?? I may have missed something somewhere, but which Fenders have inlayed sigs? All the ones I have seen are just decals, like the Ibanez.

Yep, lately with his attitude he makes a nice run at the Ed Roman award.

And deep down he agrees with most of us......but as his business is selling Ibanez guitars.....he can't say it. Connected by the hip, so to say.

I just think Ibanez made mistake of making only 60 of these over high prices JS2RPM's........when they could have made say a 1000 of these puppies with a say $2500 price tag. According to this scenario less people would have been disappointed........(and more people would have started saving.)
Cause simple fact it....that Chrome boy.....is one of the coolest guitars of all time, and making it exclusive again.......just didn't go over very well.

And I think Rich would have liked to sell 50 or so Chrome boys instead of a possible 3-4. So business-wise he is boasting the wrong horse.

I see your point. Im a little irritated too at the fact they only made 60 of these. The price tag is pretty high, Some people can justify that price and throw down that much (those are the ppl who will end up with them), I'd consider saving up 5'gs for one but I think by the time I have the cash they would all be taken. And being sold on ebay for 6k+. Its a really nice guitar, I;ve always wanted a chrome JS, I really wish Ibanez would make more then 60. Or at least switch all the trems on the JS series line to the original Edges.

Re: Js2prm

Exactly what attitude? And where the **** have I ever agreed with anything Ibanez has done this year? Anybody READ my report?!?!

Limiting to 60 was just plain stupid, I told the reps at the show that. They could have easily sold 200 even AT the $5330 list!! The new pricing on half the line is extreme and stupid. The new Edge III trem, how redundant. READ my report. But I've got an attitude? Why, cause some dolt rants off but can't use a space bar making everything he types more trouble to read than it's worth? Cause that's what it is.

Now you want to put me in the same sentance with Roman?! To that I'll say F U C K - Y O U!!

The EC strat used to have it...unless they took it off. Anyway, you do have a point there...I didn't really stop to think about it But then, doing that only for Aniverssary models like the JS10th/JS90th wouldn't be too bad.

Also, even with a signature there should be no reason for a Chrome JS to cost more then 2500...3000 tops...

Re: Js2prm

Rich, edit that last post or you'll have a 14 day vacation here and probably lost email notifiers. Also stop blabbering about "ignore" when you are posting retorts that are indeed foolish (chastizing for space bar... gimme a break). If you're going to ignore that means no reply.

Now, i want to hear FROM ANYONE the defense of a $5300 ibanez axe that needs a 2 hour setup to play effectively and probably doesn't stay in tune.

KEEP DRINKING THE COOL AID ... glen
