Oooooooh. I can definitely hear Tea Party in Firewall... 'I'm Your Secrets' sounds like something off Flex-able... I'm really looking forward to this!

Loving the samples so far .
I think that K'm-pee-du-we sample really sounds a lot like Boston Rain Melody...

Re: Steve Vai - "Real Illusions: Reflections" Previews

I just wonder why Steve has opted to down-tune his 6 strings more than use a Universe or any 7 string in his arsenal. In fact i haven't seen him play one in a long while!

"Glorious" sounds just that...something about the melodies in that sample that just grabbed me.

He uses a 7-string on the track "Under It All".

Re: Steve Vai - "Real Illusions: Reflections" Previews

It's gonna sound nasty to most here..
I am satriani fan (like most here)
But I was UTTERLY disappointed by his last 2 albums.
When i heard the previews of Vai's new album..i had a thought and it's like this..
THIS ALBUM WILL OWN SATRIANI'S LAST 2 ALBUM'S ASSES !!!

I do not intend to offend anyone, specially fans. but this is what i felt...
pre-ordering the cd NOW.

Really? I thought it was both great albums, but to each it's own I guess...It sure wasn't Surfing with the Alien material, but they were still great nontheless....

defenitly needs more though C? why would you tune to C when u can have B and keep the high E. lol, i mean he IS the father of the modern 7 string. it'd be nice to see him support it more.
