It would be nice to get the VBK especially if I let go of my VWH, "Elvis". I would love to send out a very nice and clean RG570 neck (thanks bluealien!) I have to get UV style pyramids inlaid for the VBK and add a black mirror pickguard with matching truss cover to the VBK.

Is it possible to have a different guitar?

I remember in the past competitions if another guitar was in stock for the same price or less that you could choose that

I was sorta thinking about that too since I think I like the vwh better, but if we can't I still like the vbk

Funny, I thought about that too. like since Rich is the Ibanez setup guru,
could the guitar ship to him & then to the winner? or as mentioned above, if the winner were able to trade for a different model, would Rich accept the vbk & then ship out something (like a Universe) that he might already have in stock & ready to ship? of course the winner would either pay the difference for the higher trade or let jemsite/Matt's/Ibanez Rules keep the extra cash depending on what model was finally chosen.

The winner can feel free to have the guitar shipped to wherever he or she pleases. Matt does a fine setup.

The purpose of the contest was to roll out the 'new' VBKs with a fanfare...unfortunately, we started a bit late :-s

Considering he announced this morning that there were "21" spots left, obviously he meant 17 just now.
