My 2 cents is:
I don't like the idea of 50/50 because it takes the whole idea of the contest & turns it into a "I Me Mine" kind of thing.
I believe the idea of the original contest was to get the Jemsite members together & add something new to the already great forum.
...I could be mistaken but, I think the next contest should be held off until at least near the end of '06.
20 or 25 bucks isn't too much for most of us to spend on a contest but dropping 50 right away? I'm not really comfortable with that.

A yearly Jem contest would prolly be a good idea. Something for the members to look forward too.

I'd say every 4 or 6 months so there is 2 or 3 draws a year, although if people were patience (which they aren't, lol) we could have a draw running constantly and when all the spots are taken, the draw would take place. So yeah, my vote goes to 2 or 3 draws a year.

I totally agree with the sentiment that it gives a buzz and enjoyment, but has anyone really enjoyed this one? At the beginning it was funny because of the essays and all, but (obviously) because it was too close to the first one we get this scenario.

At the end of the day, it boils down to trial and error, so let's get this one out of the way and wait a while whilst everyone gets some raffle money they're willing to part with.

Fair enough, I wouldn't dispute that. I think we could do with something else in it's place for a bit of a buzz, not sure what though, definitely not a raffle, lol

Oh how I wish I could enter! I'm afraid my join date isn't early enough though

Poor me, I have to wait another year for the next contest!

Could maybe the fact that I post all the time and am here to stay allow me to enter anyway????
