Thanks again everybody. Kenny thought I should post my story how I found out I won for you all to read. I thought this would be good to share too:
I was not able to watch and wait for the winning numbers to be displayed due to work. I wanted to watch, but work wouldn't allow it. However, I planned to check Jemsite on my work break after the numbers were displayed.
When I went on my work break, I immediately logged on Jemsite and clicked on the Contest Forum without reading the title announcing me as the winner! First thing I saw in the private forum "Contest #2 May 2006 - Lets Pick A Winner" were posts cursing me (jokingly of course) and congratulating me on winning. I was frozen for a few seconds and I'm sure some co-workers saw my jaw drop while starring at the computer. Then I said "HOLY CRAP!!" and I'm not sure if others heard it at work--hopefully not!
Anyways, I had to check twice and slap myself to see if it was real. The rest of the day I had a big smile on my face and tried tracking down fellow
guitar players at work to tell them the news. I tried calling my wife at work to tell her, instead I left a message on her voice mail saying something exciting happened. When I told my wife after work she thought the good news was that I had a job interview set up since I'm graduating from graduate work in two weeks. :-/ She was happy for me though. LOL!
This will be my first
Ibanez Jem guitar! WOO HOO!!!! It will be a perfect gift for graduating from graduate work!
