COMMON QUESTIONS & HELP - CHECK BACK HERE REGULARLY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Competition Slots available: Feb 12, 2006 - 100 entered, 25 spots left

How do I enter this competition? Where? See the link just above here to enter.

Q: What does my $20 get me?
your $20 entry fee enters you into a contest where there will be one winner selected among the 125 entrants. In case of a tie a winner will be randomly selected where you are assigned eight numbers between 000&999. The numbers are all relative to each other by 125. e.g. the person who has #000 also has 125, 250, 375, etc.

Q: How are those numbers determined?
1: You can enter your favorite three numbers when you pay your $20 entry fee (will use the first one that isn't already taken)
2: Kenny will select one at random from a random number picker on the Web. The other 7 numbers are relative to the first number (as explained above)

Q: I paid, now where are my numbers?
Kennydoe, our 'Raffle Guru', is handling everyone's money and all the numbers. When all 125 entries are sold, the list of everyone's numbers will be posted publicly, along with the date of the drawing.

Q: I paid my entry fee 2 days ago but had a dream last night that my winning number was "362". Can I tell Kenny to change my number?
NO. Once your number is assigned, it's set in stone.

Q: When is the drawing?
48-72 hours after the last ticket is sold.

Q: I just signed up for Paypal and I'm listed as 'unverified' - it will take a few days to verify myself, but the rules say I need to be verified to enter. What should I do?
Just sign up and send money. We won't draw without you, unless you take more than a week or two to be verified.

paypal.com: I've [Kennny the raffle treasurer] already received a couple of emails about 'what's paypal and how do i use it?' I'm helpful by nature, but PLEASE...try to figure it out yourself. www.paypal.com. Sign up for an account, it's free. you can either put money into an account or you can hook it directly into your bank account. Paypal will not charge you, as a buyer, to use their service.

email address for all inquiries is winajemAToptonline.net. Glen & I will both have access to it, however i think it will probably be mostly me who's checking it ;) Any messages other than this paypal email that says you paid will be ignored. Do NOT email about numbers, etc.

Winning Number selection: is randomly generated by the same lottery site the winning number will be picked. If you requested a "number" it may or not be assigned and if not you get random numbers. Everyone will get EIGHT NUMBERS that range from 000-999 (1000 combinations = 8x125)

eligibility of moderators & vendors: I have concluded since they all began as forum members and many have contributed to the forum over the years, they are eligible to participate in the raffle EXCEPT the "guitar dealer/reseller vendors" who are comprised of Rich, Matt and Eric. In addition myself and kennydoe are not eligible. See raffle page for member requirements.

Re: Win A New JEM7VWH **Feb 2006 Forum Member Writing Competition** NO SPOTS LEFT!!

funny to us in the US that you guys are already to go to work friday morning and its thursday 8:15PM here hahahaha..

This world is a funny place but its cool we all can meet from different countries, religions, races, etc and find a home in one place we call Jemsite..

Thats what the internet is really about..

Thanks Glen for making this site one of the best on the net for us Ibanez weirdos.

Certainly is odd.
Never really occurs to me that the majority of posters on this site are 12 hours across the pacific ocean from here.

The upshot of being 14 hours ahead though is that as you guys are trudging into the office tomorrow morning, I'm gonna be out in Tokyo sampling the odd glass of beer or sake. loosely work related party. Least that's what we're telling wives/girlfriends;).

Oh Yeah!

Japanese women are hot. And even if i say so myself, my wife is a veritable hottie. She's also really cool with an awesome sense of humour.

But don't forget, i can walk into almost any guitar shop of a reasonable size and pull a J-custom off the wall. THAT is very cool.

Let's just say if this was a contest for 1 Japanese woman or a Jem, I wouldn't be winning a Jem.

(Disclaimer for the more sensitive Jemsiters: I know people can not be auctioned off and even if they could be it would be wrong and immoral on many different levels. The comments made in this post do not reflect the ideas, beliefs, or opinion of elcid or elcid enterprises copyright 1977. This is strictly a joke and a hypothetical situation at no point does elcid support the buying selling or auctioning of any woman from any region for any region, it is simply to show that a woman is preferred to a guitar no matter how sweet the guitar may be.)

I must be one lucky bugger. Got the best of both worlds.

But it aint all great. Having to put up with the sight of seriously hot japanese birds everday, on the trains, at work (the woman in the office downstairs is as cute as hell), out shopping, at home... It takes it's toll.
My concentration levels have evaporated to almost zero and I've developed this terrible habit of walking into things in the street. I've lost count of the number of bicycle accidents i've had as a result of japanese girls wearing obscenely short skirts whilst riding their own bikes.

For your own safety and sanity, stay where you are.

What can I say, I loves me the ladies

Not to be misunderstood, I got me a beautiful Mexican wife who's the greatest, but I can appreciate the many fine womanly forms the various countries have to offer.

You call that a disclaimer?

You forgot:

"Side effects may include dry mouth, dizziness, sweating, high blood pressure, chills, backache, fever, changes in dream patterns, seizures, nausea, tremors, temporary blindness, low blood sugar, headache, fatigue, abdominal pain, hair loss, and in some instances, death."

Oh yeah, and "Your mileage may vary"

:)

Shouldn't that be "and in some instances, sudden violent uncontrollable death, and occasionally something even worse than death that is so heinous it requires its own disclaimer for us to disclose it to you."

;)

Hello boys 'n girls. Glad you all had fun while i was away. i had a hard enough time believing that there was a female jemsiter...i'm having an even harder time believing that there's one that's posting pics of herself.

crazy sh!t.

I chose the 2:15pm EST drawing because i figured it'd be a reasonable time for all of the US and Europe, which is where the bulk of the entries are from (i think). Sorry to the Japanese and Aussies and Malaise - couldn't keep everybody happy.

How about a side-contest:
Karma should e-mail the an un-doctored jpg to the first person who posts the name of the winner in this thread.

on your marks...get set....

No worries about the time differences. You've done a stand up job and we all appreciate it. Though the winner is gonna appreciate it a whole lot more than the rest i'm sure.

Cheers!
