Here is my project and my new favorite guitar.
It was cheap strat copy from Behringer bought for 30EU.
Removed the paint...it was so thick and hard to remove.
Also changed the shape of the headstock and rounded the body ...
Then used linseed oil on the neck and the body. 3 layers.
What you hear here is Ibanez S1 middle pickup. I had one from one of my Ibanez's and used it as neck pickups on this guitar.
The photo is before the pickup change.
Refreted it in my small "basement shop" with new Dunlip jumbo frets.
Here are the frets before assembling the guitar
I need to shield the cavities and to change the tremolo block with steel one. Thats the next upgrade to it.
Also, I will get an old IBZ USA F1 pickup for the bridge position and it will be 110% ready!
I'm still not sure what wood is that. From the grain it seems to be poplar..
