kramer 5150 guitar help ASAP!

Ok... i found a deal "too good to be true"

Its a 5150 for 500$.... how can I tell if its legit? What do I need to look out for? Etc etc.

Chinese knock-off! First--there never were any "official" 5150 replicas. Some folks like Mean Street Guitars made some replicas--but not real Kramers. The decent replicas will have the correct space tape numbers, not the black stencil like yours. LOL--you got a Chiba Kramer!

Edit--the only "legit" EVH striped guitars were the Charvels.

I know that we've established this as a fake, but to contribute to the knowledge base, here are some other key points:

1) There was never an EVH Art Series Kramer.

2) Look at the Trem. It is not even a Kramer Floyd from back in the day.

3) The "5150" on the guitar is all wrong.

4) The original made by/for Ed never had a tone knob.

5) The original made by/for Ed never had a pickup ring.

Those points alone should dissuade anyone. Then there's the fact the Kramer never made one. That's kind of a deal killer.
