What do you know about the Carvin V220 Guitar?

I have a chance to Purchase a 84 Carvin V220 (X shape) W/orginal hard shell case. W/kahler trem, in extremely nice shape in red, for just under 200.00.
I dont remember these from back in the day, its a tank, easy 15 lbs. has the speed locks on the nut.
is this worth a grab to trun and burn or is this a keeper, sought after?
Any one with any info on these please?
Thanks for your time in advance guys.

1984 would have a set neck and 24.75 inch scale length Excellent knob location. Instead of figured tops with veneers you see nowadays, those guitars used solid planks of wood. Unless you just don't like Carvins, that would be a good buy.

Yeah. I'd gladly give $200 for it.
