Was wondering how much an early Ibanez Jem77FP in good condition would go for? I saw one selling for over $3.000 on ebay about 3 months ago. Anybody who knows?
I know, there are a few sellers that have several of their JEMs up for sale way too high. They keep relisting them for 30 days at a time, thinking they will get it someday, NOT!
I've even E-mailed some of them telling them GC has one just like yours used for $$$500-700 - 1000 less and they somehow think the guitar they have is special. These people just don't want to sell. When I was looking at getting a BFP I saw one on Ebay for $3249, I contacted them and they said the price was firm, so I bought one in better shape off Ebay for $2400. Shortly after they raised the price to $3449. They will never get that kind of money. I see a lot of Ibanez guitars for sale at the GC web site for less than Ebay.
Are you an a-hole in real life too or just on the internet? Seriously what does that add to the conversation except condescending arrogance? All either of you had to say was "I think your estimates are too high". If you were a smart a-hole you would have kept your mouth shut and at least tried to make money off me. If you were an original a-hole you would have at least come up with your own snide remark. It's unfortunate that this invaluable forum is becoming a haven for self important circle jerkers. That's all I have to say.
In regards to the question if it than makes sense, the market price fluctuates quite a bit, i have sold a couple jems in my time here, none for less than 1.5K which was a VSBL. The last 15th i had in near mint condition i sold for 1.8K the one i currently have also near mint cond. i bought for about the same, and would not sell for less.
I think if you want to sell and you just wait for the right buyer someone will buy it. No one forces you to drop your price within 3 days by $300.
I got one offered in pristine condition around christmas last year. 1100 Euros, looking as new as if just being taken from the factory! I just had bought my BFP before, so I couldn't afford it
Ibanez made a lot of FPs over several years, they are not hard to find. When I was looking for mine at the end of last year, Oct-Nov, I was trying to decide between three of them if A+ shape. I see them for sale a lot.

Right but the OP was specifically asking about an early model, which would mean '87-'89, maybe '90. FP 15th is not the same as an early model FP. An original FP in mint condition IS hard to find, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make..
@coolngroovy thanks for being honest and telling the accurate market price that you paid.
They are a little rarer & dearer on this side of the equator!
My budget included freight & [ unplanned ] custom duties.
I swear they x-rayed the parcel, saw the flowers & put it in quarantine for 5 hair pulling weeks!
