I'm trying to record to my PC and I have everything connected to a stereo amp (Teac A-H300) that is connected to my PC. Now either there's a bug in the amp or I don't understand how to connect this thing.
Back of amp:
Tape 1 IN -------- Connected to ----------- PC Sound LINE OUT
Tape 1 OUT -------- Connected to ----------- PC Sound LINE IN
Tape 2 IN -------- Connected to ----------- Guitar Amp LINE OUT
Tape 2 OUT -------- Connected to ----------- Not Connected
CD/AUX/TUNER----- Connected to ----------- Not Connected
Amp Front:
Rec Selector: Tape 2 -> Tape 1 (I want to record from guitar to PC)
Input Selector: Tape 1 (I want to listen to the backing track)
Using the connections above I get absolutely no signal through to the PC. If I set the Input selector to Tape 2, I get the signal through but my guitar comes out through the headphones and I cannot hear the backing track.
I've tried to switch around tape 1 and 2, but it works identical the other way around.
Is there a bug in my brain or my amp?
