im thinking of ordering battery for my PC tommorrow, any of you guys use it? if so what do you think of it. i basically looking for a software drum machine as im fing my hardware equivalent to limiting
Hi! I would also check out the DR008 by FXpansion- http://www.fxpansion.com/
I have both, and use the DR008 about 99% of the time. Alot less money. I combined it with the Drumkit From Hell http://drumkit.toontrack.com/
And that does all I need for writing rock/metal. If I want non-acoustic drums, DR008 comes with a bunch, and I have enough samples to make me happy. If I dont have it, a little time searching online can find it these days. I have suggested DFH to a few friends, and they have all thanked me. My vote for best sampled kit ever. If you decide to buy DFH, u can order direct, or from http://www.soundsonline.com/
I really like battery and I also use Drumkit From Hell. I'm probably going to be ditching battery soon, because I plan on picking up Mach Five when it is available.
Battery is very simple and very effective. I highly recommend DFH also.
`you cant actually program beats in it though can you?i`ve been playing around with the demo for a few hours and it seems to me that battery is only for manipulating the actually drum sounds and not for programming the beats, which is what im really after....
I use Digital Performer on the Mac. It isn't available for PC. Any sequencer is capable though. Cubase, Logic, Sonar, they all work pretty much the same way.
