Check this out! These are to celebrate 30 years of Ibanez being distributed in Australia. They're making 60 of them.
According to the store who took this photo,
"The final product will have an Ibanez Prestige logo on the headstock. Essentially the specs are that of an original 1987 RG550 with old school trem and Maple fingerboard and neck shape as well."
Actually Fender lauched a MADE IN BRAZIL Fender Stratocaster on the early 90', with the Southern Cross tag on the headstock.
It was nice on the first run, then turned garbage quickly (low QC), then Fender quicked the lame brazilian factory in the arse.
Yeah, I mean, I think this country's pretty kickass but I wouldn't buy a green and gold (or, for that matter, Aussie flag) guitar any other time, so I think making this anniversary guitar into some kind of hugely niche nationalistic colour scheme would limit sales somewhat.
