Hi im new to the forum..i wanted to know if anyone could give me any samples clips of dimarzio tone zones..id really appreciate it..ive heard it on the dimarzio website but it would be great to get actual players clips to sample
I'd like to hear a good sample of the Tone Zone as well. I've heard samples of EVOs, Breeds, Duncan JBs and Freds and they were all very helpful but still not exactly the sound I'm looking for.
When we recorded our album, I used nothing but Ibanez.
All had EMGs with the exception of one track...
The one here is an Ibanez RG3120 with a Tone Zone in the bridge and a Paf Pro in the neck (but the neck pickup was not used in this tune).
This should give you a good example of a Tone Zone in an Ibanez.
The guitars were recorded running with this setup:
Ibanez RG3120 -> Line6 Flextone HD <direct out to Mackie CFX-16 Mixer> -> M-Audio Delta 66 -> Adobe Audition.
The raw .WAV was then imported into Pro Tools for mixing with all other instruments and then mastered.
I now have the ToneZone int he neck and the PAF Pro in the bridge and my word its a match made in heaven, i strongly suggest you guys try this, the ToneZone in the neck is awesome, its like an evo...but better
JimmyJ has been going on about that Tone Zone in the neck and PAF Pro in the bridge thing for atleast as long as I've been on Jemsite, yet I'm still waiting to hear a sample of it....

wow, very cool dude. You got some good stuff there, the pickups sounded very nice.
What did you recorde the audio with or how did you manage to set up audio to sound that good. ?
