So, i'm wanna clean my maple fretboard but i just want to clear some of my doubts.
I heard in some other websites that you SHOULDN'T use Lemon Oil on maple fretboards, and only use naptha or lighter fluid. Is this true?
And to clean it, are these the correct steps:
1. Remove strings (obviously)
2. Rub the fretboard with a paper towel soaked with naptha or lighter fluid
3. Cover the fretboard with masking tape and use a 500 grit sand paper to clean the fret wire, is there another thing i could use insted of a 500 grit sand paper?
4. Remove the tape and use the a 0000 steel wool to polish the frets.
5. Polish the fretboard with ???
