Hi, i've brought a 7621 neck off E*** and i trial fitted it to a 7321 body i'm refinishing for somone (the necks not going on that body, just wanted to see what it looked like ) and the neck pocket on the 7321 is about 2mm too small. i measured the neck heel and it's 66mm. is this common for necks and pocket sizes to vary? i understand the 7321 is korean and 7621 is japanese so maybe this is the reason? I'm gettind a body custom made for the neck anyway so it shouldn't be a problem, i'm just curious.
well, the obvious difference is 7321 = fixed bridge and 7621 = trem
I believe they are both the same width at the nut although im sure the 7 string knowledge community may tell me otherwise..
actually, the 7621 is a fixed bridge also. but it seems that alot of korean necks are different. maybe so they couldnt be sold as a japanese rg if the necks are swapped.
thanks for the replys guys, and yes it is a fixed bidge neck. 3 piece off a 99 MIJ model.
