Honestly, I would expect that in terms of sales, the JEM7VWH is the most popular JEM model of all time. It's been available for sale for over 7 years, and Vai is constantly seen with it.
The JEM7VWH is a standard production model. It's not a limited edition or a special release. Finding total production number would be nearly impossible (if not completely impossible). How many Les Pauls or Fender Strats do you think have been made over the years? The 7VWH has been in production for 10 years or so. If you figure an average of 7,000 a year, there's 70,000. That's a totally arbitrary number though. Could be more, could be less.
Bottom line: you guess is as good as any. Don't focus on numbers-focus on the fact that it's a gorgeous, great-playing guitar that'll last you for a LONG time.
