Prestige CST 7-string notes from Ibanez:

Double Edge equipped guitars have two separate output jacks Different tone and level settings can be easily achieved with separate amplifiers (or a single amplifier with separate channel inputs with their own volume and tone settings).

All Double edge models allow the user to connect to a single output. Set the "Output Mode Switch" to the "DOWN" position. Next connect "Output A" to the amplifier input. You can switch between magnetic and piezo sounds by using the "Toggle Switch". "

All Double edge models allow the user to connect to two outputs." Set the "Output Mode Switch" to the "UP" position. Connect "Output A" to one amplifier for the magnetic pickup sound; connect "Output B" to the input of another amplifier for the piezo sound. When the "Output Mode Switch" is in the "UP" position, you can set up separate sound systems for the magnetic and piezo signals (example: the piezo signal can be directly connected to the PA system through "Output B", while "Output A", the magnetic pickup, can be sent to a standard guitar amp

RG7321 Notes: Made in Korea in order to reduce costs and market price.

RG7421 Notes: Pickups are designed & installed at the Ibanez factory; the bridge is hotter output than both the RG762x & AX7521. This is a cost cutting measure to lower cost from the RG7621.

RG7620 Notes: For 2000 the RG7620GN features Powder Cosmo (PC) hardware (which looks like a dark pewter) as opposed to Black. In previous years, specialty colors were available exclusively from certain larger chain stores such as Guitar Center and Sam Ash, etc.

RG7621M-BOL Notes: RG7621M-BOL was a limited production model with 12 or so made. Includes a Mahogany body that is oiled. "Mahogany Body OiLed". Not a Wes Borland model.

RG2027X Notes: Double Edge tremolo featuring the LR Baggs piezo pickup system built into the tremolo. You can switch between the electric and piezo pickups, but you can not have both running simultaneously.

Korn K7 Model Notes: Head and Munky of Korn are one of the biggest reasons for the success of the 7-string solid body guitar," said Masashi Inoue. "They both wanted the exactly same features in their instruments, so thats why youve got two artists as signatures on one style of instrument." One new feature on the new K7 models was actually conceived and named by the dynamic Korn duo themselves: the U-Bar tremolo system which allows players to palm the bridge to achieve tremolo effects without palming the fine tuners.

Double Edge 2002 - There are no double-edge 7-string models for 2002 in the USA. The 6-string DoubleEdge is improved for 2002 however. These are now wired so that you can run both the Piezo and magnetic pickups at the same time. Also the Prestige Model DoubleEdges for 2002 have a 2-band EQ for the Piezo.
