I love these Acoustic Strings. I'm a Luthier and have used just about everything. I'm a big Ernie Ball electric string user so I like the feel.

If you have a dead sounding acoustic, these strings will brighten it up. They have a nice electric feel to them. I think they ring out with nice tone.
|
| Didn't like: |
The only thing that might be a downside is that they don't last long.

I'm one of the few left in the rock world who uses 8's, the lightest gauge on the market. I play 99% legato and this gauge of strings suits my playing style.

These Strings have a great sustain and playing life and when i've been using other brands of 8's (no names mentioned)i've found the Ernie Ball strings keep their tuning better than the others and take quite a bit of whammy abuse on my RG and S series Guitars before eventually breaking (the current set has been on a month and are still as new after a dozen gigs).

not a thing, i'm a lifetime user.

This pedal is about as simple and straight forward as you can get. It does the job and does it well.

My pedal worked extremely well and quietly in my setup. i keep it on the back end to cut off everything that doesn't work so quietly when i need to.

For the past six months, I've been using a standard set of Ernie Ball Slinky strings, .10-.46 on my 24.75" scale length Ibanez Rocket Roll II. I really like how well I can bend the treble strings so that the level of resistance isn't too high as to hurt my fingers or make it difficult, but high enough to offer a decent amount of push against me. The bass strings were fine, but maybe a little loose. Whatever, I didn't really think much about it, until I found these strings...
When I got home and restrung my guitar, I was faced with an initial difficulty: the nut wasn't wide enough to...

| Ease Of Use: |
Up and down. How much easier can you get?

This is definitely my favorite volume pedal. I have used the Morely Little Alligator and a boss stereo pedal and loved this one much more. It just feels great, very smooth, no coloring of tone.
|
| Reliability: |
Would never need a backup, it's a tank.

| Customer Support: |
Never had to deal with them for support

Smooth pedal
did not color tone
unbreakable - -well for me so far

| Didn't like: |
Heck for being so simple I would like it to be less expensive, but it's the best one I have found, so I would pay for another if mine were stolen

I used these and the 9-42 gauge versions for years on my guitars. They sounded great to me although I originally bought them because of their price. My only complaint is that they loose that new string tone pretty quickly and I've found some other brands, D'Addario, work a little better for me. I still keep a few packs around for spares if I break a string.
|
| Liked about it: |
1. Good bright tone when new.
|
| Didn't like: |
1. The new string tone and snappyness doesn't last long.
2. They tarnish and dirty up more quickly than some other brands out there.

I've tried Elixirs, I've tried DiAddarios, I've tried Blue Steels, all in various gauges.
Ernie Ball Super Slinky's have the best sound and best feel for me. They're easy on the wallet, too.
|
| Liked about it: |
I seem to be able to bend these strings much more than others I've tried. They just don't break easily. Of course, perhaps it is their marriage with my Floyd Rose trem that makes things so nice, but I do know I've had other strings break earlier than these Slinkys after a lot of bending.
They just seem to last forever, too, sounding nice and bright longer than other strings (even Elixirs!).

| Didn't like: |
I really can't think of anything I'd wish to improve upon.

I use this set on my hardtail guitar tuned down to dropped-c. They work well and maintain stability so I don't have to retune too often.
|
| Liked about it: |
Easy to stretch and tune up.
Like the gauges in this package for tuning low.
|
| Didn't like: |
They tend to go dead pretty fast.
Loose their punch once they are dead.
