I was real close to buying that and 'parting out' the backstop, but the UPS guy already thinks I'm a freak so I let it go. That and I'm running low on food...
Nice guitar. Very comfortable to play. Don't get rid of the backstop. Only adds to the value of a very nice condition guitar. You can always adjust it so it isn't affecting the trem at all.
I looked at that one too but condition was rougher than I like. It's your guitar but I would keep the backstop. Definitely adds to the value to the guitar if you sell it around here.
