I am not much of a Dimarzio fanatic but now I am thinking about giving it a shot and see how it sounds. How does Tone Zone 7 for bothe bridge and neck sound?

Using the same pickup in both positions (unless there are specifically calibrated neck and bridge versions) isn't a good idea. The neck pickup will be MUCH louder than the same pickup in the bridge position. If you want the same tone curve, email DiMarzio and see what they recommend as a good match.

Hmm.... Didn't Mr. Paul Gilbert use the Tone ZOne in the bridge and neck of his guitars for a while?
YES

the PAF 7 is a nice match for ht etone zone, or the air norton 7

those 2 will give you good results in the neck position.

if you are going to be playing really metallic stuff, i would go with something othe rthan the tone zone in the bridge, its very "rock" sounding.
