They are more of a no frills JEM. No vine, textured finish, no gold hardware, no scalloped last four frets, etc. But it's still a JEM and plays just as well as any other IMO.
well having previously owned one I can tell you, they play great. They are cheaper cause they lack certain thing's like vine but the neck is great on them vine or not.
they maybe cheaper than most jem's but worth the purchase, unlike a 555
Breeds rule! I prefer them over PAF's and EVO's The neck is thinner than other Jems, but I like the feel. They are not one of my favorite Jems, but still a Jem and still very nice. Especially for the price
i miss mine. it was a very cool axe. great guitar for the money (under a grand used). i can't complain that i traded it for a USA Jackson that was the cats meow but i do miss it.
Agreed. That finish is like something my dad would do on Sunday afternoon with a tin of Hammerite.
If I had one, I'd get it repainted. Shame about those inlays too. I'd have been happier with offset plain dots. Screw caps? What have they got to do with anything!!?
The DBK is a very nice guitar, also perfect if you aren't so careful with your guitars because the finish makes it look scratched and dinged to hell and back straight out of the box, let alone once you start dropping it
If you like versatility then you should get one simply as a guitar loaded with breeds instead of Evos.
Personally, I like the screw heads. Not quite as cool as the eyeball inlay on the Jackson Phil Collen customs. The DBK is very industrial looking. I like mine just fine. Won't win any beauty contests but it plays just fine.
