Hey guys, any updates from the new owners on when we might see a rehaul?

The upgrade team is currently working on improving the upgrade process, so nothing will be coming in the immediate future I'm afraid. Nothing more concrete then that.

Were there any particular upgrades you were hoping for?

Any updates here? I haven't noticed any changes whatsoever on the site since this announcement came out in April. If there's new ownership of Jemsite then what exactly have they done to take the site to the next level? The site is in need of work and refreshing to get the traffic back up. It seems like traffic / posts continue to decline and it's getting a bit depressing =(

Yeah...I doubt the updates are for us users, it's likely to make more profits for the company that bought this forum. They've bought ridiculous amounts of forums lately and will likely mould them in the same manner.

Sorry for sounding cynical, but I think they do not care about the users other than as profit generating traffic/user information. I'd love to be wrong though, trust me!

I have no traffic stats but VS bought one of the few other forums i visit (sigtalk) and i don't see more banners and the same admins/mods are present. But any community is defined by it's members more than anything else and the items being discussed. Still, I don't recall adding my phone & address & giving a CC to any Vertical Scope forum though (unlike amazon, apple, google, etc.). Unfortunately anything on the web is all about being "monetized" and servers cost $ and require management. It's all a trade off. Site owners are motivated by possible disruption though... you're correct good content is useful and needed ... glen
