Wow.

As someone who actually pays to support the site, this comment pisses me off. I'd expect this from a 16-year-old who has no work experience and no concept of customer service, but not from an adult running a business.

You can forget about me renewing my contributor status next time it comes around. I don't have to pay to be insulted; I can get that for free.

Just good natured ribbing, Glen.
I'm happy that the reissues exist but I'm happy with my Evo-loaded 20th RG / $900 poor man's Jem.

Re: Colors are too neon

I am using Firefox on my IMac and the colors look like the lockness green jem. I would prefer the old colors as these are a bit bright for my eyes. Can we perhaps give folks options to adjust the colors for their own use when they log in? Is this technically possible.

I appreciate the idea of making the colors thematic of Jems but it looks like geocities 1999 here and not at all professional in my opinion.

Re: Colors are too neon

thx mobeus, what exactly is too bright? What elements on the forum front page, forum category page and/or thread page.

edit are you seeing white or very light grey backdrop? (compare to the message edit box below)

The background of the text is grey which I think helps make the contrast not as bad (currently viewing at work PC firefox browser will check at home later). The Pink and Green found throughout are the colors that make me squint. I also wonder about the use of pink and green for folks who may be color blind.

Other than the above concerns it comes down to individual style and preference. I certainly prefer the older style as seen in the tabs above the forum which retain the blue and white.

Thanks for reading.

Re: Colors are too neon

Looks like a Geocities site, circa 1999.

I get it, trying to do an over the top Loch Ness Green thing. But it hurts my eyes.

It probably also hurts the eyes of new people coming to the site for the first time.
