Re: Colors are too neon

Amazon does not hurt my eyes. No bright neon colors in my viewing.

Ha. Wow yeah that would be bad. My screen had a nice calming blue color.

Re: Colors are too neon

This looks how I remember the Internet from the late 90's. Four background colours, text in three different colours.

Would be cool if you could randomize the colours for max effect!

It's a lot better today than a few days ago... it was seriously making me want to run and hide

Why not have the classic vBulletin theme as an option (bottom of page / control panel) there is a theme option... then have the crazy option as an extra theme?

truth...and it's not whining - it's just stating a fact

^ who said no one was "fixing the main site" though?

Instead of asking, Rich made an inflammatory clueless ASSumption

Re: Colors are too neon

I think there are many of us who are disappointed in the state of the site - and the new owners talked about making it better but that seems like a long time ago with the only change that we've seen since that talk of making it better is this silly change to sickly neon colors

Re: Colors are too neon

+1 doriangrey but fixing the front site and tweaking forum colors are not mutually exclusive events. I have begun working with VS to improve the site sooner than later. Both quick fix and long term fix. I'll share more when I can. I am not speaking for anyone but myself so don't over-read any reply. Frustration is understandable but must be tempered.

The responses are great but i find it comical about green complaints of people buying arguably the tackiest & cheesiest guitars ever sold by a major brand. And i say that respectfully.

Re: Colors are too neon

So you respectfully called me an ASS?

Nothing has been done on the main site, where this site needs work. Not tweaking colors in the forum which serves no purpose at all but making it more difficult to read subjects and diverts attention away from the real problems. Said with very little respect.

Re: Colors are too neon

I should have added after you took this stab at anybody interested in buying a new JEM

"green complaints of people buying arguably the tackiest & cheesiest guitars ever sold by a major brand"

That those are the very same colors you chose to make this the cheesiest looking forum. Said by somebody whos personal site beats all cheese.

Re: Colors are too neon

I hate to say it but the main site is like having a complete set of Encyclopedia Britannica from 1998 on the shelf; not much new, takes up space, and you can find better info elsewhere - including Rich's site.
Thank god for the forums though!
