Apologies

To anyone that I may have offended in the forum by my post to "Ibanez custom shop in Japan...." (specifically Hikey Mikey), I apologize for resurrecting a very old thread.

For what it's worth, I had checked out the site that the thread had linked and was actually going to post a follow-up thread to see if anyone actually had used that Japanese Distributor (because after looking through their site and researching current exchange rates, it didn't look like it was worth the time, effort or money to buy from there, with no real noticeable discounts, while at the same time paying ridiculous shipping).

Anyway, that said, the first post was just a joke and I apologize for what appeared to be he resurrection of a defunct/no-longer-relevant thread . Unfortunately I got sidetracked at work and had to leave rather hastily for a gig that night and before I was able to post the follow-up, had noted dissenting follow-up comments to my "joke" (again, sorry) and the post had then been locked by the administrator. I guess I thought that since the thread hadn't been locked, it was being kept open for a reason... Obviously I was wrong and I apologize for assuming wrongly.

Though I don't have many posts yet on the forum, I've found Jemsite invaluable with respect to my personal ownership of Jem's, JS models as well as various other Ibanez models, in addition to very good information on rack equipment and set-ups (to which I'm a complete noob and have learned a tremendous amount over the last few months, from this as well as other forums).

Thanks for listening and again - sorry!

Tom

Re: Apologies

Some were actually playing a game as to who could resurrect the oldest thread.

IMO it make NO DIFFERENCE how old a thread is. If it's the most relevant thread to your question you probably found it in a search, which is the way to approach a large forum like this. Resurrect a thread from 10 years ago if it's relevant, nobody should care how old it is, as long as it's being resurrected for a reason. Resurrecting one as a game or joke, maybe not so cool.

Re: Apologies

Unfortunately I didn't realize that "game" was going on...

My initial post was a joke, but was intended to be followed-up with one of relevance... Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that...

Cest la vie, live and learn I guess... I definitely won't be "joking" around anymore though!

If you're going to be a stick in the mud you must leave now. A little levity is required to be a member!

Re: Apologies

No, no stick in the mud here...

Just gonna try and use a little better judgement about when, when not, what and what not to post - LOL

Re: Apologies

Most of us have a sense of humor--joking around, in good taste, is always refreshing.
