Help with jem neck

hi guys, so im new to the site because i wanted to ask you all a question.
i got my new jem neck through the post today and it has allen bolts in the back of the headstock (back of the neck) around the locking nut area, i just wondered if any one could tell me what they are and what they do

Dude, that's just how the locking nut is mounted to the neck, that's all.

so if i tighten them nothing is going to happen and my beutifull neck wont explode ?

Don't tighten them unless loose! Then, don't over-tighten.

I would only tighten them if your locking nut is loose. You have to be very careful with the bolt through model necks. Over tightening was the leading cause of the typical crack in that area of the neck which destroyed many a beautiful Ibanez during the 80's and 90's......PROCEED WITH CAUTION! You don't want to wreck your lovely Jem before you really have a chance to enjoy it do you?
