Impressive Songs

I am a teenage guy. Like all teenage guys, what I want is to impress girls. One way I have been able to do this is through guitar. However, I am running out of material. I need some help picking out more songs to help me with this.

I have a pretty good ACOUSTIC guitar (so nothing too electric). I could sing if need be, and have no preference whether I do or not (when I say this, I mean I can sing like any man, but I can not sing like a girl/woman artist).

Anything would be helpful.

Re: Impressive Songs

Going out on a limb here, but I hope this helps: I will follow you into the dark by death cab for cutie. "Don't give up on us" by David Soul also is a very very fine choice imo.

Google might also be a great utility for you. Some of these suggestions here might be before your time (even though I'm 16, lol!)

Re: Impressive Songs

Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" is a panty dropper if you can pull it off with conviction.

Re: Impressive Songs

Clapton, "Wonderful Tonight"
Plain White T's, "Hey There Delilah"

First ones that spring to mind . . .

Peace

Mike

Thanks, that is a good one. And after I started looking, I just realized that I had that one in one of my old guitar books.

Thanks for this one, too.

Great idea, but just a little too high. I might have to transpose it.

Re: Impressive Songs

' Crazy Bitch ' --- Buckcherry

This may not be effective if your shooting for a 'sweet girl'....

...a good song seriously is " Love Of A Lifetime " by Firehouse

Red face Re: Impressive Songs

Make sure you pick out the right song for the right girl. I remember in 1986 playing some Air Supply songs for a chick who was into Motorhead and AC/DC...Duh!!! Lotta back pedaling to fix that one! Thank God I knew other stuff...
