Method of painting a guitar then swirling?

I am putting a guitar together, and have stripped the paint(purposely obv.). Anyway, I have done research and came up with nothing. I have been told many different types of primer to use, and do not know how to start painting this guitar. I am going to swirl it like a jem. I do not have an airbrush, but do not want to leav streaks with a real brush. I know to use Humbrol Enamel(not oil based) paint for the swirl, but i do not know how to go about priming the guitar. Do i prime a few times then swirl, then add the nitro-laquer finish? Please either give me specific details or tell me of another thread, this is bugging me a lot. Thank you

Being new, you probably don't know about the search feature here. That said, you probably didn't see my DIY painting thread. Shoot me an email for an kick-a$$ DIY painting E-book.
