Hello Again. It's been a long (10 year?) hiatus.

I've always liked Mr. Vai. (I first saw him with DLR in '86 I think) but his taste in guitars has always been too outrageous for me. I just couldn't come to terms with the monkey grip and neon colors.

I started to really like the Jem in the last 5 years or so but I couldn't justify the price. Well I just picked up a Jem Jr. and actually love the thing. The action is a little high at the nut but I'll remedy that when I drop a gold OFR in it.

Will the 920D loaded pickguard fit the Jr?

Hi all! My names Nick - I’ve been playing guitar for ~20yrs. Vai was always a huge inspiration, especially when I first started playing. I remember the first time I saw a jem - always wanted one after that point. Finally have a dedicated music room so looking to expand the collection and get my first jem - preferably a 77FP or 77BFP. I look forward to the hunt and taking to all here! Thanks!

Hey everyone my name is Alex. I’m 33 years old living in Tampa Florida. Originally from Long Island New York. I bought my first guitar when I was 15. A BC Rich NJ beast warlock. My main influences that got me hooked on guitar are slipknot korn pantera slayer Dying fetus Chimaira but mainly slipknot. When I moved to Florida back in 2009 is when I purchased my first 7 string which was a Ibanez 7321 and I hooked it up with a Dimarzio X2N-7 and boy was that a brutal sounding guitar. So here it is 2019. Guitars have come and go from my Ibanez to a ESP SC-607b to a SC-608b to a Jackson sl1-t to a Paul reed smith. But I moved to a new city here in Florida a little over a year ago and started a new
Company which I had to take a pay cut so unfortunately I had to sell my PRS and my Mesa boogie DC-10 head and my orange 4x12 can just to catch up on some bills. But now I’m almost all caught up and I’m ready to get back into the game and my goal is to find a Ibanez 7620 in Royal blue

Hi everyone, new to learning the guitar and am looking to buy an electric guitar. I like the look and sound of the ibanez guitars but stuck with what model to choose, I've found an rgr350 and an rg1550 prestige in my price range, can anyone tell me which one would be the better buy and the differences.
Thanks

Hey there! My name is Donnie, been playing guitar for 19 years and am 31 years old. I bought my first ibanez 2 years ago a js24p satriani signature. I fell in love with the edge bridge, holy crap that thing is nice. Wore the frets out... and it's getting new ones installed currently

I just recently refurbished a 1987 540 Radius but it has a 540s neck on it. Found the bridge and neck on ebay for a steal, they are in shockingly excelent condition for them being from 1987. A dimarzio satchur8 in the bridge, and fender hot noiseless singles in the middle and neck position. The tone has a push pull to coil tap the bridge and the volume has a push pull for a high pass filter. I love jeff beck and satch, so the fender pickups with the dimarzio humbucker were an amazing combo.

Hello! I am David from Argentina, I will soon be traveling to Ireland for 8 months. I love Ibanez guitars especially the JEM and RG line.
I have a RG550 1992 and RG3250MZ 2011. I am here to learn about the different models and help who needs it. Thanks for giving me that possibility!

Hello, I’m David from Oklahoma City. I’m joining to further my knowledge of Ibanez guitars, and to get to know others who appreciate them like I do.

I own a 1993 RG570 (Japan market only) that is my favorite guitar, as well as a newer Indonesian RGRT421, and a 79 ST50. I love Wizard necks, and am on the prowl for another 92-94 RG570.

Howdy Just acquired a 1987 RG 550m it’s road flare red I’ve had over 30 Rgs and a 555 And a deluxe 59r. The neck is plain maple ( not flame) and yes I believe it is a jem profile Edge trem is absolutely the best , the v1 v2 s1 sounds like Vai

Name is Tyrus. Live here in San Angelo,Texas. I have been playing guitar for 20 years now and have recently started making/building amd modifying my guitars. I play a variety of 6s and 7s ranging from Jackson, Ibanez, and recently I got a Schecter Reaper 7 Multiscale. But, before that I got two dream guitars. A discontinued Jackson SL7 Satin Black finish with forward facing headstock and a lovely Ibanez Universe UV777 that I am currently taking apart and by spare parts and Ebay purchases, and by taking it apart, I'm using it as a cross reference for my own.

Hello!! Well here it is. I joined this site in hopes of possibly finding my long lost jem. I am now 44yrs old and I graduated high school in 93. I was a deeply infatuated guitarist since the age of 11. My mother ordered me my dream guitar for a graduation present. An Ibanez jem77pmc. I actually remember going down to thourobred music in Tampa Florida and choosing one of 3 brand new in the box! The one I chose had the most gorgeous swirl combo. I owned this guitar for about 15years or more. Was always babied and in original case. I was later in need of money and couldn’t find anyone who wanted it. The popular thing was Ibanez in flat black or more metal looking. Horrifically.. I actually sanded it down and painted the body. Sold it on eBay to the confusion of a few people that saw it asking if it really WAS a true jempmc?? It sold for around 5-600 if I remember. I now am in sickness to what I did.. and see the value of course in such a rare guitar I owned. Does anyone know of this guitars whereabouts?? If anything.. I’m proud to have many pictures and memories of being lucky enough to own and play such an amazing guitar.
Thank you so much for reading.
Sincerely,
Brian Townsend.

Hello, all... I’m Mike from Nashville and I have played Ibanez since my first guitar back in 1989. That was a lowly EX and I quickly worked my way up to Satriani around 1993 or so. I now play all kinds of guitars, but my slightly modded pink JEM jr. is my pride and joy. I dreamt about a JEM since I saw that first catalog in 1987. My real grail is a Loch Ness Green 777, eventually. That seems like a tall order, though, so I’ll more than likely end up with a 30th anniversary version when the time comes. Thanks for having me here and I look forward to learning from all of you.

Hello! My name is Nick and I’m from the suburbs of Chicago. I played for many years, but as work and life happened, my playing has become less and less. Huge fan of Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, SRV, Tool, LED Zeppelin, etc. I have collected quite a few guitars over the years. I’ve played Fenders, Gibsons, Rickenbackers and Ibanez. My dad has recently decided to relocate and as I was helping clean out my childhood room, I found my John Petrucci JPM100 P2. I haven’t seen it in at least 10-15 years. Frankly, I sort of forgot about it. My main reason for joining here is to hopefully find a new home for her. She deserves to be played and owned by someone who appreciates it and can enjoy it. I am going to post it on the classified ads shortly. If anyone has any interest prior to me posting, please feel free to message me.
