As far as I know it's a full sized Iceman.

I only have a black and white picture, which doesn't look any different than the current Iceman. If someone else doesn't post a picture before me, I'll throw one up here once I get a good image.

i dunno what the complaints are about.

Ibanez brings back a vibrant colorful model that was well liked- and folks complain.

They get Steve to autograph it and update the trem, and people complain.

They list it reasonably even though it's being marketed as a limited edition...more complaints.

If you don't want one, that's cool. But I think Ibanez is really responding to the market in an intelligent way. They're offereing a fan-favorite with improvements at a great price. If I wasn't so poor, I'd consider buying it.

You're taking this out of context. Yes, people are complaining about the FPs...but that is only because of the hype surrounding the new JEM, and it just turned out to be an FP, which you can still get in Japan and Europe (even with the new trem.) The autograph is cool, but again, the hype surrounding the new JEM made us to believe it would have some major improvement or even a new model.

I'm not really surprised because of the failure of the vsbl. As a company, you have experiments and surefire products. When the experiments work and they sell, you can expect more. But when an experiment is poorly received (ie, vsbl), you can bet they will fall back on some sure hits. This guitar, before it's reviewed, and with zero advertising money will likely sell better than the vsbl. That's business.

has the VSBL really done that badly? Anyone know how it sold compared to the VWH last year?
