Re: What Guitar Strings do you use?

I like the new D'Addario NYXL's. I've used D'Addario since... the early 90s. 9/42's. For 7-string, the low B is a 54.

D'Addario XL, .009. Prefer buying in bulk via Amazon given the good price.

Aren't D'Addario made in the USA? Half price from china sounds like knock-offs

Ernie Ball Cobalt
9-42
9-46
10-46

It seems to have a richer midrange to it. The strings seem to stretch a tad easier, but I'm guessing that by feel. I'm not sure why D'Addario is so popular. I've broken more D'Addario than any other brand strings (and I hardly ever break strings). I definitely broke a lot of D'Addario when using Floyd's, it may have something to do with that crappy hexcore design under clamping stress.

Re: What Guitar Strings do you use?

I don t care for D addario strings myself but I love their micro tuners.....only problem is the more micro they get the more variance in the tuning.. the micros I love to use are about three times the size of a pencil eraser but I love them because they are indiscreet...!... since I mostly play fenders my strings are super bullets 09-42's.... all other guitars usually get gsl' s
