Amusing article on the latest Mac adverts...

Im sorry, I couldnt help myself, i had to post this after the fun of the past few threads

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisf...006031,00.html

Just in case you didnt know, the UK now has its own version of the "Mac and PC" adverts. Theyre basically the same, only with british actors instead of Americans. It doesent seem Apple have realised the irony of their choices of actors though

I liked this line

"computers for people who earnestly believe in feng shui."

lots of classic stuff and lines there...

quote:
they are a superficial semi-person assembled from packaging; an infinitely sad, second-rate replicant who doesn't really know what they are doing here, but feels vaguely significant and creative each time they gaze at their sleek designer machine.

ROTF that is a good article to send to normal people who don't like those TV ads (i've never seen one myself but then again i don't watch TV unless it's on my HD-DVR). ...glen

What's even funnier, is Quicktime crashes my browser, no joke.
Irony at its finest.

Re: Amusing article on the latest Mac adverts...

Those ads always puzzled me, since the guy playing the Mac in the US ads is some bit actor in horrible teen movies and the actor playing the PC guy (John Hodgman) wrote one of the funniest books put out last year ("The Areas of My Expertise"), so the "lame" one and the "cool" one are somewhat inverted.
