Here's a good one for you...
I absolutely hate seafood and the smell of it, other than canned tuna, fish sticks and shrimp I won't eat it.

However I love sushi, and I love all of it. I've even had the sea urchin before which is definitely an acquired taste...go figure right?

Yeah, I like raw fish so much more than cooked fish.

And it's great that you were still open to trying new things.

Ditto
Don't ruin my fish by cooking it.

That reminds of some commercial where Terry Bradshaw says "where I come from we call that bait."

Seriously though, we go out for sushi all the time. We love it!

My father was a history teacher who specialized in Asian culture/philosophy.
So growing up we always ate every type of Asian food we could. He also prepared Asian dishes. So when we went out and he ordered sushi, he made me try it like everything else. That was just something I liked, but when he would make home made clam chowder, or scallop dishes...no f**king way for me man

Can't do it. Taste is fine, consistency gets me. I've tried on numerous occasions.

I absolutely love it.

My favorite is nigri with salmon or tuna mixed with some varied maki.

And miso soup never tastes as good without the big Japanese spoons does it?

I generally like it all. Unagi, though, is my favorite Japanese food. It is basically a cooked eel filet.
