Re: Anyone here work out?

Don't just lift weights, best thing you can do for your body is run.

if you drink any soda, stop, drink pure water, and drink water before you work out and after.

change your eating habbits, I had to change the way I ate, and I was 260 and now I'm 208, did it in 6 weeks

Diet is huge. Also, don't work the same muscle groups 2 days in a row. You need at least 24 hours rest in between. The workout tears down your muscle, rest rebuilds it. It also depends on your goals. If you are looking to lose weight, then you want to work up to 30 min of cardio 5x weekly. If not, you can improve your cardio fitness with 20-30 min 3x weekly.

yeah cardio is important, and don't spend more than an hour doing weights.

give yourself different day's to work out different muscle groups

also go get whey protein that you can mix in with Milk, it taste a bit nasty but it's all protein and helps form muscle. now theres a certain way to take protein it's measured in some form, speak to a nuetirtionist(sp) about that.

and theres other form's of protein, Steak,Egg's,Chicken (take off the skin)

my routine used to be 1 hour weights, 45 minutes cardio, and now the only thing I eat is either subway or something home made.

if your looking to "loose weight", drink what's "fuze" they have Super Citirmax, Vitiam B6 B12, etc. loads of stuff I can't remembe I just had one a minute ago, it makes you poop but lol it cleasnes your system.

Re: Anyone here work out?

i work out and was taught by a dr in biology, biomechanics and anatomy. He knows some shiz to have 3 dr degree's lol. Running doesn't help lose weight it actually makes you gain it but it is cardio so it does keep your body healthy. Lifting weights is the only way to really lose weight, because muscle mass helps with metabolism which gets rid of fat. Also a common misconception is you lose weight while doing it but you really lose it at rest because your mitochondria are making atp from glucose and not making it from stored energy (fat) So after lifiting weights you should rest for an hour or so. Also eating a good meal before and after weight lifting is very good. Also to gain muscle mass faster you must break off the crossbridges in your sarcromere(unit of contraction in a muscle) so when you lift use the 2 sec 4 sec technique. 2 seconds to go all the way up and don't just let ur arms flop down you must take double the time going all the way down I might of missed something but w/e I have a headache so I do that

Re: Anyone here work out?

oh diet! forgot trans fats=bad of course also saturated fats=worst, like cookies that aren't soggy are saturated fats. They artificially make something a trans fat, it is the stickiest and worst thing ever for your veins and arteries. Also taking vitamins isn't all what it is cracked up to be but it is still pretty good. Like when they give you like Iron pills for anemia you really need more than just iron but they don't care as long as they make money Also meats are good for all your amino acid chains and enzymes. Vegetations miss out on many needed proteins and enzymes that are only found in animals not in plants.

edit: rawr forget another thing... Also things on the top of the food chain are good but you have to eat more of them to get the most energy out of them, but you will get more toxins (like in tuna). The bottom of the food chain has most energy then the next level gets 1/10th of the energy and 10x the toxin and so on. The reason why something like tuna has so much toxin is that there are 7 levels of the food chain in the ocean and tuna are on top. Just a little lesson for choosing meats and not overdoing it on some

Re: Anyone here work out?

For cardio, do some form of HIIT (High Intensity Intervalic Training) about four-five times a week. In all honesty, the most effective HIIT workout is jumping rope. I need to start doing it again. I'm not overweight at all, but since I stopped playing baseball, I jump rope to stay in shape, combined with lifting weights.
