More impressive than I was ready for. It just goes to show that sports talent and music talent are not mutually exclusive.

Petrucci used to be a pro soccer player didn't he? Or an amatuer pro or some such thing like that?

And the parrells between playing a sport and playing music are strong and many. Makes sense really. Kind of a kick in the junk that one person should be that good at multiple things though. Haha.

I don't think that stuff about JP is true; he went right from High School on Long Island to Berklee.

The guys in Iron Maiden were soccer heads, I think Nikko was a semi pro, and Bruce fenced!

Bernie Williams went to to conservatories to be a musician when he was younger...

Meatloaf "was a varsity tackle and a hell of a block, and when he played his guitar he made the canyons rock!"

Re: Bernie Williams...Not too shabby

Steve Harris was going to go play pro soccer and decided to pursue music instead. Bruce Dickinson was ranked 7th at once stage in Britain for fencing.
