Red face Which is better, evilbay or jemsite?

I want to sell my Jem777SK, and i'm curious as to which site would be the better option to list my classified ad, evilbay or jemsite? seeing i have never really done this before it would be excellent if somebody may be able to give me some advice on which would be the better option to list my ad and why. Any information is welcome, Thank you.

EBay doesn't always mean more money. Actually, Jemsite is the better choice, as we have people that know what they're worth and will pay accordingly--plus, no listing fees or sale fees.

ok not exclusively, but usually most owners here try to "hook up" fellow members, which is cool as **** to me.

One good thing about eBay is that more people will see the ad.

Great idea--jesse's going to be all over that! Just make sure not to list it on eBay while it's listed here--a big no-no in the classified rules.

Re: Which is better, evilbay or jemsite?

Intuitively I'd say Jemsite is better. People here would be more likely to be looking for a Jem rather than the casual guitar buyer who *might* be interested in the Jem. the Jemsite member IS your target buyer.
I don't know what extra buyer protection you might get from evil bay. I think most of it comes from paypal anyway, right? I don't know. I've never had a deal go sour.
Good luck!

More people, sure, but there is no higher concentration of target buyers than Jemsite.

I'd list it here first, and leave the bay for a fall-back option.

Peace

Mike

Re: Which is better, evilbay or jemsite?

At the moment, unless your selling gold, now is not the time to sell a high end guitar... Your guitar seems to be worthy of gold so you have a good chance of selling. BUT

with that said, most Jemsite members are from the USA and with their weak Dollar, your going to have a hard time selling to them...

Ebay will reach more Australian buyers. I have met many Jem fans and many of them still refuse to join Jemsite... so your going to have a better chance to sell on ebay..

Want to know a trick ?

Make your ebay name the same as your Jemsite name and bingo, people work it out :P

Re: Which is better, evilbay or jemsite?

The problem with listing it on Jemsite is that there is that ridiculas 21 day bump... means the sale gets lost in the crowd within hours sometimes minutes.. Ebay has a million and 1 more customers constantly saerching for things to buy...

I have found much more success on ebay then jemsite.

If your not in a hurry to sell, then go Jemsite...
